Wellington Regional Learning Community Day

This is a day for those who have been part of a learning community or are in a leadership huddle. We will be looking at 'growing a discipling lifestyle’, reflecting on how we can continue to grow in living out an authentically three dimensional lifestyle, both personally, and in the churches that we’re part of.

Amongst other things, we’ll be looking at 'Growing where we’re planted', as well as sharpening up our skills on running huddles. We’re also going to have Bishop Ellie with us, sharing and speaking which will be awesome! As well as the usual worship, teaching and time to plan and process, there'll be opportunities to catch up with one another too.
The day will start with coffee at 9.30am and run until 4pm, at 38 Buick Street, Petone. Please bring some lunch, and $10 per person to cover costs. Please RSVP to wellington@goodsoilcollective.org.nz to let us know if you’re coming. Looking forward to seeing you!

We are privileged to have Christine Wanstall with us for the Christchurch COP again this November, and this time we have her for a few extra days so will be making the most of it with some additional workshops that we would love for you to take advantage of...

On Thursday 7th from 9.30am-2.30pm Christine will facilitate a workshop on "Building a Prophetic Culture in the Church". This is for church and ministry leaders looking to develop this area, as well as experience a time of deep prayer and connection. One thing we've learned along the missional discipleship journey, is the crucial nature of prophesy and worship. Being able to hear and respond to God's voice empowers and enhances our ability to bring meaningful cultural change.

There will be an cost of $20pp for this just to cover morning tea and lunch and tickets are essential.

Community of Practice #2 (Christchurch)

Christchurch

The Community of Practice helps team’s who have been through a Learning Community together to stay accountable and open to God’s voice as they continue on the discipleship and mission journey.

Just like Learning Communities, teams gather together every six months for input, accountability, strategic planning, and coaching over a two year period. Community of Practice gatherings move from a heavy teaching component to focusing far more on tactics and coaching for how missional discipleship is unfolding in your context.

If you make disciples you always get the church, but if you focus on making the church, you rarely get disciples. Discipleship is the “operating system”, the foundation, the engine that makes everything else work and is therefore foundational to the future work you will do in multiplying leaders, mobilising mission, and cultivating a movement.

During this gathering, we focus on learning from Jesus’ process and methodology for making disciples.

Leading Missional Communities (Taranaki)

NEW PLYMOUTH

Discipleship and mission go hand-in-hand, so as we disciple our leaders, equipping them to live missionally is essential if we want to become more than an inward looking club.

Missional Communities are our way of helping followers of Jesus to live together on mission every day, and to ultimate mobilise the church to live out her calling.

During this gathering, we’ll explore how we can use Missional Communities to help people learn the dynamics of living as a whanau on mission, and how we can move from the humble beginnings of discipling a small group of people, into the much bigger vision of releasing a movement of mission in New Zealand.

The key to seeing a mission movement released in Aotearoa isn’t just about creating disciples… BUT in creating disciples, that then create disciples, that then create disciples… (you get where we’re going with this.) This means that disciples need to become leaders.

In this gathering, we’ll explore what it means to train leaders instead of simply recruiting volunteers, and how we can creating an environment where leaders have the freedom and frameworks to flourish as they make disciples that multiply.

Leading Kingdom Movements (Christchurch)

Christchurch

In three years, Jesus unleashed a movement that changed the course of human history. The early church did this by simply doing the things Jesus taught them to do.

We all want to see a movement of God’s kingdom unleashed, but what are the dynamics we need to cultivate if we’re going to see it happen?

In this final gathering, we will explore the dynamics required to create a white hot center that fuels a movement of God’s kingdom beyond the walls of a church building.
